I study the origin and fate of freshwater constituents in coastal ecosystems of the central British Columbia coast. My research uses a combination of observational and experimental methods to examine organic matter dynamics, carbon and nutrient cycling, and watershed processes at the interface of soil-freshwater and freshwater-marine systems.
